 Pretty Good Study Guide December 21, 2008
I think that this is decent review book. The math part is pretty thorough and gives a lot of problems. They were very similar to what was on the HESI. I think the reading comprehension and grammer were a joke though. There was only one or two examples and that part of the test was the hardest for me. I didn't have to take anatomy so I can't comment on that. I think this book does help, but I would suggest finding some other grammer and comprehension study materials before the test.

The CD only has a few hundred questions on it, and they contain a lot of information that is not in the book. This is a good tool if you want to pass the HESI test for nursing school, but I would not recommend it to study for the NCLEX.br /peace

Good starting point to learn the material necessary. Found it was better than the 4 star rated Hesi Admission Assessment Study Guide.....THEY ARE THE SAME THING....word for word. The Evolve Exam Review includes diagrams/illistration and a better lay out than the Hesi Study Guide.

I opened this book right to the practice tests, and immediately ran into multiple errors; really basic ones that would have been caught and corrected if even rudimentary effort had been put into proofreading and editing. 3,048cm in a foot. 88x7.08x0.05=862.5. 55% of 76 is 44.br /br /I couldn't be bothered to explore much beyond that first practice test. If they've bodged up 6th grade math this badly, it certainly can't get any better with further examination.

This study guide wasn't that bad, as the last review said. I took the hesi about 2 weeks after studying from this booklet and with old math notes from college level 1 algebra. I recieved an 85, which is good but i could have done better in the Anatomy and Phys. section- The study book does NOT go into great detail on the anatomy and phys section, i suggest reading up on that section in your local library or from a friend's notes.br /Good luck!
