Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This book is written as a review for students taking the first course in business organizations. The authors emphasize explanation, focusing on explaining the basic concepts covered in class, providing a business and practice context for those concepts, and showing how the concepts are consistent, and sometimes inconsistent with each other. The book is organized around the life cycle of a business, beginning with the choice of business structure, ending with the choices of possible "end-games" for the business and its owners, and covering the common legal issues in running and growing a business.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Accurate law, but sloppy presentation   November 29, 2008

Good law and explanations, but the layout is sloppy and the book is full of punctuation errors and misspelled words. Handy thing to carry in your pocket though when you're on the metro or bus near exams...

4 out of 5 stars A little nut of knowledge   March 29, 2007
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

I bought this book to help me get through Business Associations/Organizations in law school. I found it to be an easy read and very helpful in explaining nuanced business concepts. However, if your business course is like mine, you will spend the bulk of your time on Corporations. To that end I would suggest purchasing the Nutshell's Corporations book as a companion to Nutshell's Business Associations. Best of luck in your business legal studies!

5 out of 5 stars really helpful   September 3, 2006
I took Intro to Business Associations and this book was very helpful. It is short enough that reading the whole thing is not a task, yet long enough to be helpful. It provided many clear examples and was easy to understand. A.
