Amazon.com Review With his iDaily Show/i appearances and his "I'm a PC" Apple ads, John Hodgman has only become more famous since the hardcover edition of his all-you-need compendium of facts, iThe Areas of My Expertise/i was released. He has also become smarter. To reflect this, the paperback edition of iThe Areas of My Expertise/i has been expanded to include 100 new hobo names and new, additional complete world knowledge. John Hodgman and his fur-hatted associate, Jonathan, have prepared an exclusive video for Amazon customers explaining the above. p align=centerp table cellpadding="4" width="100%" tr align="center"tdimg src="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/books/video-grabs/John-Hodgman.jpg" border="0" align="center"br Click here or on the image above to watch John Hodgman describe the only book you'll ever need. /td/tr /table p align=left p align=left

bizarre but funny December 22, 2008 Having written a magazine review of John Hodgman's "More Information Than You Require," I bought this because, after all, the two books are really one book (check the page numbering). It's a loony kind of book but a lot of fun to read. (Beware of reading it in public if you don't want strangers to see you giggle.)
Basically the same stuff, some of it amusing and most not, contained in his second book. December 19, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
John Hodgman appears to be a genuinely funny man during his appearances on "The Daily Show" with the sainted Jon Stewart.br /br /Then why is this book so disappointing? (I confess I only read the first 60 or so pages before punting)br /br /Because if you've read "More Information Than You Require", you've gotten all the available juice out of this piece of fruit. Author Hodgman simply does not deviate: the first book is the same as the second.br /br /I enjoyed "More Information Than You Require", as you can see by my review, though it certainly got tired about the time that Hodgman listed, over several pages, potential names of something or other. Talk about needing an editor of funny business, John.br /br /Not recommended unless you have plenty of free time. And even then......
The Hodge is a genius. December 16, 2008 John Hodgman is a man among boys. He is truly a gift to be enjoyed again and again.
Incomprehensible Babble December 13, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
Don't buy this book. It alternates with boring, boring self absorbed descriptions of the author's life followed by incomprehensive babble that appears to be generated by a person with scrambled eggs for brains. If you like to read incomprehensible nonsense, you'll like this book. br /br /Oh, and it is not funny except that it is a joke that this book was actually published.
Illinois Obama December 2, 2008 It is a strange creativity to compose a list of 700 hobo names. Number 424, Illinois Obama, demonstrates genius.
