Does Anyone Know of an Insurance Company That Will Insure an Unoccupied Home in Pennsylvania?

our is cancling my mothers insurance because she is 85 and can no longer live alone,so her house in unoccupied.

Do you really need to tell them it’s unoccupied, that was sorta a dumb thing to do???? Since the deed is done already, why not tell the you are renting it out, this should secure insurance. State Farm is pretty good!! Good Luck and health to your mom!!

Sure. Foremost insurance does vacant homes. You’ll have to winterize it, and take photos, but they’ll do it.

You have to tell them its vacant otherwise coverage will be excluded and call your agent. If you can not go thru the ususal market there is a surpluss lines like Lloyds of London and they insure almost everything. If prev person went thru Foremost then try them first. Look for a Farmers Insurance agent. Heres Foremost’s #800-527-3905.
