Can I have my parents and siblings covered under my long term care insurance policy?

by Insurance Pennsylvania on July 27, 2010

I fear that the physical and financial burden of my parents/siblings care will fall on my shoulders. Can I take the necessary precautions and get some long term care insurance so that everything is taken care of, should something happen to any of them?

Yes, you can get long term care insurance on your parents and siblings if they qualify, but you can not add them to your policy.

You need separate policies on each insured.

Yes. Buying long term care for parents is a very popular, and wise step taken by many. Especially when the child(ren) is(are) more well off than the parent.

But, no you can’t add them. You have to buy a policy on them. Let me know if you want help with that. And, you can cehck out my site as there’s lots of useful informaton there.
